C.J.C. MEETING CUP WON BY ROYAL LANCER. DERBY GOES TO RINK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 29. For the New Zealand Cup meeting the weather was warm, but threatening to start, and after light rain about the third race, a very heavy downpour fell just after that race had been run and continued for about half an hour. However, the ground was firm and dry and quickly absorbed the moisture, which really improved the going. There was a very large attendance, ,and a record turnover of £100,066 was handled, the first time in C.J.C. history that six figures were reached. The total last Cup day was £73,366.
