WEDDING
MAUCHLINE—DICKASON St Matthew’s Church, Masterton, was the scene of a pretty wedding, on Saturday afternoon when Aline Hill Dickason, third daughter of Mrs E Dickason and the late Mr A. T. Dickason, of Pownall Street, Masterton, was married to William Black Mauchline, son of Mr and Mrs Mauchline, of Wellington. The ceremony was performed by the Ven Archdeacon E. J. Rich, and Mr Miller Hope presided' at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated with lupins, sweet peas and roses in toning colours by friends of the bride. The bride, who was escorted by her eldest brother, Mr Frank Dickason, made a pretty picture, in a becoming pale pink satin frock, cut on simple lines, with a train gauged in at 'the waist, and a richly embroidered pale pink veil, loaned for the occasion by Mrs B. Housley, a friend of the bride. She carried a lovely shower bouquet of wjiite Xmas lilies and roses. The bridesmaid was Miss Ellen Dickason, sister of the bride, and the flower girl, Jean Mauchline. sister of the bridegroom. Both were dressed in slim fitting frocks of apricot lace over taffeta, with short puff sleeves. Their headdresses were of apricot net, falling shoulder length from top-knots of mauve sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore mittens of apricot pin-spotted net. Both wore gold bracelets, the gift of the bridegroom. Their bouquets were of mauve sweet peas.
The duties of best man were'carried out by Mr John Mauchline, brother of the bridegroom. A reception was held later when Mesdames Dickason and Mauchline received the many guests. The former was attired in a Phoenix blue frock, trimmed with self-coloured braid, with hat to match, and a fur necklet. Mrs Mauchline, mother of the bridegroom, wore a petrel blue ensemble. Both had pretty shoulder sprays. When the bride and groom left for the north, the bride was wearing a powder blue frock and hat. with a smartly cut pink coat and navy accessories. •
