REGENT THEATRE

“MYSTERY SHIP.” Hailed as the fastest-moving melodrama of the current season, Columbia’s “Mystery Ship” will be shown tonight at the Regent Theatre. Featuring Paul Kelly, Lola Lane and Larry Parks in the leading roles, the film tells a thrilling story of sabotage and treachery aboard an American ship ploughing its way through sub-marine-infested waters. The story, which was adapted to the screen by David Silverstein and Houston Branch, was directed by Lew Landers. The associate feature,. “Girl From Alaska,” starring Paul Kelly, Lola Lane and Larry Parks, is a story of thrilling adventure across the icy trails of Alaska.

RADIO REVUE REGENT THEATRE ON SUNDAY. An excellent radio and military revue will be presented at the Regent Theatre on Sunday next at 8 p.m. The 2 ZB radio concert party, in conjunction with a military band and also artists from all parts of New Zealand, will render items that will constitute probably the best programme Masterton has seen for many months. The programme is being presented under the auspices of the Interhouse Association and the gross proceeds will go to patriotic funds. The box plan is now open at the Regent Theatre.
