SUCCESSFUL DANCE

AIR TRAINING CORPS. PROCEEDS FOR PROVIDING CLUB ROOMS. The dance held by the Masterton Squadron of the Air Training Corps in the College Assembly Hall on Saturday night was an outstanding success. Corporal P. Alexander was an efficient M.C. The music was supplied by Miss Hawke, piano, with saxophone and drum accompaniment. The stage was beautifully decorated with Iceland poppies, delphiniums, etc., by Mrs H. G. Alexander. A lucky spot competition was won by Miss McGovern and Aircraftman Sanko. Pilot Officer S. V. Playsted congratulated the cadet committee on the excellent arrangements for the dance and thanked the ladies’ committee headed by Mrs A. J. Towns for the splendid supper. Thanks were also expressed to Mrs Alexander and all who had assisted in any way. Pilot Officer Playsted mentioned that the proceeds would be used for the squadron’s club rooms.
