WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION SENIOR GAMES ON SATURDAY. WINS FOR RED STAR AND OLD BOYS. The Wairarapa Cricket Association's senior championship matches were continued on Saturday in fine weather when Red Star and Old Boys secured wins. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP RED STAR DEFEAT COLLEGE. Red Star and Wairarapa College met on the College grounds when the former had an easy first innings win. Newman Hoar played a splendid unfinished innings for 74, his score including two 6’s and five 4’s. Scores: Red Star: 5 wickets for 177 declared (N. Hoar not out 74, Cheavers 27, Linder 20, Mahoney 20, Wysocki 12; Masters 2 for 35, O’Brien 1 for 23, Welch 1 for 28, McGregor 1 for 35. Wairarapa College 93 (Welch 23, Hayes 16, Towns 10; N. Hoar 5 for 18, Linder 1 for 11, Cheavers 1 for 12, F. Hoar 1 for 14). OLD BOYS v. AIR FORCE. EIGHT POINT WIN FOR FORMER TEAM. Old Boys scored an eight-point win over Air Force in a match played on the Park Oval. For Old Boys, K. Miller scored a brilliant 62, and Stevens took 8 wickets for 20 runs. Scores: — Old Boys, 4 for 189 (K. Miler 62, J. Fitzpatrick 37, D. Stevens not out 32, L.. Jones 30, W. Whiteman 23; Bardsley 2, for 57, A. Ireland 1 for 12). Air Force, first innings, 42 (Kilick 13; Stevens 8. for 20, McMichael 2 for 12). Second innings, 99 (Messervy 32, McKay 17 not out, Milne 13, Bardsley 11; McMichael 5 for 15. Stevens 2 for 29, Fitzpatrick 1 for 11, Jones 1 for 30, Thompson 1 for 0). In a match at the Wairarapa College ground on Saturday, an A.S.C. team beat the College juniors on the first innings. A.S.C. scored 117 (Hampton 38, Hoare 16, Hardwick 12, Francis 12). Alpe took 4 wickets, McPherson 3, Shoosmith 2 and Beecroft 1. College compiled 73 (Bannister 16, McPherson 13). Harwick took 3 wickets, Hislock and Kempton two each, and Empton and Shaw one each. (
