IN TREATMENT OF WAR WOUNDS. REPORTED BY AMERICAN AUTHORITY. CHICAGO, November 20. “New methods of treating war wounds have resulted in an astounding reduction of deaths,” declared Rear-Admiral Mclntyre, Navy Sur-geon-General. The Navy is losing less than one per cent of those wounded on Guadalcanal, compared with seven per cent during the last war. Admiral Mclntyre said applications of sulfa injections and blood plasma, on the battlefields and swift aerial transportation to hospitals were largely responsible.
