LIBERTY LOAN
NEARLY TEN AND HALF MILLIONS SUBSCRIBED. FINAL DISTRICT TOTALS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A number of additional Liberty Loan applications have been received by the Reserve Bank in the past few days as a result of postings on the closing date of the loan. These figures bring the total to £10,416,790 from 25.025 applications, the average amount applied for being £416, compared with £5BO for the first Liberty Loan. The district totals are as under,_ the number of applications being 2 before the district figure:—Auckland district, 4011, £1,985,935; Wellington, 4114 £1 545.370; Christchurch, 3545, £711,350;’ Dunedin, 1596, £785,170; Invercargill, 1874. £363,690; Palmerston North, 1787, £267,615; Napier 1113, £221 455’ New Plymouth, 994, £212,795; Hamilton, 1422, £210,095; Timaru 859, £180,640; Gisborne, 526, £173,230, Wanganui, 930, £171,065; Nelson 613, £99,450; Thames, 554, £88,035; Greymouth, 344, £56,650; Blenheim, 361, £51,590; Oamaru, 274, £47,050; Westnort 60 £5605; National Institutions, 48 £3 240£00. Total, 25,025, £10,416,790.
