SUCCESSFUL RAID
ON JAPANESE AERODROMES IN BURMA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) RUGBY, November 19. “Many bombs were seen to burst across a runway, and a large fire was started, when R.A.F. bombers last night attacked the Japanese aerodrome at Maiktila,” says a New Delhi communique. “One enemy fighter was damaged. On Tuesday night heavy R.A.F. bombers attacked Japanese aerodromes in Rangoon and Magwe. Two large fires were started at the former place. From all these operations all our planes returned.”
