JOINING DE GAULLE
HIGH FRENCH AIR OFFICER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m) RUGBY, November 18. General D’Astier; whose French rank is equivalent to that of an air marshal in the R.A.F., and who held one of the highest commands in the French Air Force, has arrived in London to join General de Gaulle. General D’Astier commanded the French Air Forces in North France at the outbreak of war, and worked in close co-operation with the R.A.F. in France.
