THE LABRADOR

DISPLAY IN W.F.C.A. WINDOW. There will be on display in one of the W.F.C.A. Queen Street windows on Friday one of New Zealand’s best known gun dogs, “Ceopatra May,” Field Trial Champion, with her seven puppies. “Cleopatra May” has a long and notable run of successes to her credit in field trials, and is a fine specimen, of her breed. The Labrador retriever is above all things a sporting animal and has proved incomparable as a water dog. On land work he is a tireless worker, has a marvellous nose, keen sight, and a tender mouth for retrieving game to hand. As a family dog the Labrador is invaluable as a watch and ward, cleanly in habits, and a great companion and friend, of children.

The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association has spared no effort to draw the public’s attention to the ideal qualities of “Tip-Top” dog meal, and the fact that “Cleopatra May” and her previous litters of champion puppies have been reared and fed largely on this splendidly balanced meal will be of interest to all dog owners. “Tip-Top” dog meal solves the diet problem of any canine breed —it is body-building, tonic in action and proof against countless diseases from which a poorly or thoughtlessly fed dog is otherwise prone. Moreover, it is so easy to handle, readily made in biscuit form, and so moderately priced.*
