WAR CASUALTIES
LATEST AMERICAN REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, November 16. The office of War Information reported that the total American casualties in the army, navy, coastguard, marines and Philippine scouts, excluding North Africa, are 48,956, of whom 5694 are killed, 3435 wounded, 1349 prisoners and 38,478 missing.
