NORTH-EAST OF SWATOW. OCCUPIED BY CHINESE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) CHUNGKING, November 15. The occupation by the Chinese of Sinchow, a small island in Tiwan Strait, north-east of Swatow, is announced in an army communique. The Japanese fled in small boats, abandoning a large quantity of supplies. The Central News Agency reports that American Skydragons fought 44 Zeros in a series of running battles in the Huanan and Kwangsi Provinces. One Zero was shot down, there being no American losses.
