HOMING PIGEONS
MASTERTON CLUB. LONG DISTANCE RACE RESULTS. The Mastertori Homing Pigeon Club held a race from Te Kuiti, an airline distance of 185 miles, and.another irom Opua an airline distance of 410 miles, the latter race being for points for the .Rose Bowl. The following were the results:— From Te Kuiti: R. Stewart and Sons' Young Imnerial (time, shrs. 3mins. 50 sees.), 1; W. Miller's Fair Exchange <5 hrs. 4min. SOsecs.), 2; Grant and Forrester's Fast Passage (shrs. 4mm. .30 secs.), 3; Pt. Stewart and Son's Silveren (shrs.’ 4min. 59secs.), 4; I. Mayes’s Diesel (shrs. smin. 7secs.). 5; J. Mayes's Royal Chief (shrs. smin. llsecs.). 6 . From Opua: J. Mayes's Red Chief (IGhrs. Gmin. 23secs.), 1; R. Stewart and Son's Race Time (IGhrs. 10 min. 12secs.), 2; I. Mayes's Master Reliance (16hrs. llmin. SOsecs.). 3; I. Mayes's Blue Girl (IGhrs. 12min. 2 secs.), 4; A. Pinkney's Old Bill (IGhrs. 12min. 22 secs.), 5; W.
