Lancasters and Stirlings bombed Genoa last night. The sky was cloudless over the city, and targets were clearly identified by flares. The attack was well concentrated. A Rome communique says: “Numeris British air formations last night Jain bombed Genoa and caused great image, especally to civilian houses in le central and eastern parts of the city, asualies have not yet been ascertain--1.” The Air Ministry states: “Last night e Bomber Command attacked Genoa, he weather was good over the target, id many large fires were started. None ' our aircraft are missing. This was enoa’s third raid in eight days.” It is so announced in London that this afmoon Flying Fortresses and Liberars bombed German submarine bases .La Pallice and St. Nazaire. Allied jhters made sweeps and diversionary veeps over north-western France. No rcraft are missing on these operaons.
