The Russians have lost . between 10,000,000 and 15,000,000 people in Ger-man-held territories —three times their losses at the front —says the Moscow correspondent of the New York “Her-ald-Tribune.” The deaths are mostly those of women and children, due io malnutrition and disease. According to conservative estimates, at least onethird of the population in 64 Germancontrolled villages are dead. Only a miracle can avert a famine.
