(Received This Day, 10.15 a.m ? WASHINGTON, November 12. A Navy communique states: — “During Wednesday morning Grumman Wildcat fighters intercepted two enemy dive-bomber formations over Guadalcanal. The first attack was made by ten enemy bombers and twelve fighters. Our fighters shot down six bombers and five fighters. The second attack was made by 25 bombers and five fighters. Our Wildcats shot down six enemy bombers. Three additional enemy bombers and two fighters are reported to have been probably destroyed. Seven United States fighters were lost. ■
