CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE. ANNUAL CONFERENCE AT WANGANUI. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, November 11. Forty-seven delegates, many of them accompanied by their wives, were welcomed to Wanganui when the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand opened tonight. In spite of the difficulties caused by wartime conditions generally, the conference has attracted a record attendance, delegates being present from all parts of the Dominion. Following addresses of welcome, the annual report and accounts were adopted, and the president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, Captain S. Holm (Wellington), addressed the conference.
