The Australian Wool Board has announced that an effective control of the sheep blowfly crutch strike has been achieved. The board regards this achievement as being of immense import-’ ance and believes that a universal application of the successful method would remove a scourge of the sheep industry. By the use of new methods, developed under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, many growers have reduced the proportion of sheep struck to one in a thousand animals.
