There is complete agreement among our military men that this war cannot be won without it.” the Under-Secretary for War, Mr Patterson. told ?. C. 1.0. convention. He added that 1943 would be a fighting year and that Americans will be fighting in Europe, Asia, Africa and on the seven seas. Among primary objectives in 1943 would be to retake the Burma Road and conquer the submarine menace. “Weary though Mussolini’s followers milst be,” he concluded, “they are due for a good licking from us and they will get it.”
