ESPERANTO
' MASTERTON CLUB SEASON CONCLUDED. The Masterton Esperanto Club held its annual general meeting last evening, Mr N. Lamoni presiding over an excellent attendance of members. In his presidential address, Mr Lamont said the work undertaken by the club had been of a high order and he was gratified that the club had continued its activities so well during a particularly difficult period. He also eulogised the services rendered during five club seasons as secretary-treasurer by S/Sgt. W. H. King, who, unfortunately, for the clup, was shortly being transferred elsewhere.
The secretary’s report and balance sheet, covering the club’s 16th. year of operation and showing the financial position to have improved by a substantial credit balance, was unanimously adopted. A special vote of thanks was accorded the “Times-Age” for the continued generous publication of club reports throughout the year. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr E. J. Esl'er; vice-presi-dents, Mrs N. Lamont (re-elected) and Mr W. J. Beresford; secretary-treasur-er, Mr N. Lamont. It was decided that the club go into recess until the end of March.
