AERO CLUB

$ GROUNDS LEASED TO GOVERNMENT. PROPOSAL TO GO INTO RECESS. The annual report for the year ended March 31, 1942, of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club states: — During the year the Government leased the club’s grounds at a rental which will cover interest on mortgage, depreciation and other outgoings. In addition, a small sum is received as interest from the investment of surplus funds, so. that for the duration of the war, the club should maintain its financial position. As no activities can be actively pursued for that period, it is proposed that the club go into recess until the end of the war, and special resolutions on this question will come before the annual meeting.
