CONTROLLED IN CARIBBEAN. SHIPS PASSING SAFELY. (Received This Day, 1.0 p.m.) NEW YORK. October 27. Ships laden with military supplies and civilian necessities consigned to Panama are again traversing the Caribbean Sea safely, under convoy supplemented by wide-ranging aerial patrols. According to a United Press correspondent, aboard a destroyer at sea, the Axis submarines have been either sunk or driven elsewhere.
