CADETS FOR DUNTROON

TEN GOING TO AUSTRALIA NEXT YEAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Ten cadets from New Zealand are to be sent to the Royal Military College at Duntroon, Australia, about the end of February, to be trained for commissions in the New Zealand Regular Force. Announcing this, the Defence Minister (Mr Jones) said that, on behalf of the Government, he wished to express appreciation of the action of the Australian Government in continuing to extend the usual training facilities to New Zealand cadets despite the fact that the college was now very fully occupied with the training of officers for the Australian military forces. The Minister said it was proposed to select provisionally 20 to 25 candidates who would be required to attend a short course of instruction towards the end of January. At the end o fthis course the final selection of ten candidates would be made.
