LOW CLOUD COVER
USED BV NAZI RAIDERS ON BRITAIN SOME DAMAGE & CASUALTIES. TWO BOMBERS SHOT DOWN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) RUGBY, October 26. It is officially stated that, taking advantage of low cloud, enemy aircraft crossed the Channel today. Others flew into the Thames Estuary and one penetrated to the Home Counties. Incidents are reported in several places. Some casualties and damage which were nowhere extensive, were caused. Two enemy bombers were destroyed.
