CENSUS ORDERED IN BRITAIN. VEHICLES OR TIRES MAY BE REQUISITIONED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) RUGBY, October 26. The Ministry of Supply has ordered a census of laid-up motor vehicles in Britain immediately, in order to discover what vehicles and tires are available for requisitioning when necessary. Sir Kenneth Lee, Director of Controls at the Ministry .of Supply, estimates that tires on laid-up cars represent 10.000 tons of crude rubber.
