LABOUR PARTY DANCE

MASTERTON BRANCH GATHERING LAST NIGHT OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. The annual dance held by the Masterton branch of the New Zealand Labour Party in the Masonic Hall last night was a signal success. The large crowd present danced to bright music supplied by Ashton’s Orchestra. Mr L. Askew, who carried out the duties of M.C., kept proceedings moving with a swing. The social committee provided supper. The member for Masterton, Mr J. Robertson (president of the Labour Representation Committee) and Mrs Robertson were present. Amidst applause. Lilly Edwards presented a beautiful bouquet to Mrs Robertson and a buttonhole to Mr Robertson. Mr Robertson welcomed those present to the Party’s dance, and congratulated the social committee of the Labour Party upon its splendid work. On his call a vote of thanks to the social committee was carried by acclamation.
