LABOUR WEEKEND RACING
MEETING AT TRENTHAM. SOME FORM PROSPECTS. Followers of the turf will be amply catered for at the weekend. The Wellington. Racing Club will hold its meeting on Saturday and Monday and the Gore Racing Club on Saturday. On Labour Day, the Waikato Hunt Club, and the Waverley and North Canterbury Racng Clubs will hold fixtures. Punters will find form very hard to follow as al most of the meetings a particularly good class of horse is competing. At Trentham form should be easier to follow on the second day. The principal races carded on the first day at Trentham. the Wellngton Guineas. Wellington Handicap and the Shorts Handicap, should provide thrilling racing as it is the first time this year that such a galaxy of form horses have met. On the second 'day at Trentham the Harcourt Stakes should provide great racing, with the champion Kindergarten as a draw card. Form prospects for the first day at the Wellington Racing Club's meeting at Trentham on Saturday are as follow:—
Glen Hurdle Handicap (12.0 p.m.): Talenta. Cuisinier. Malacca.
Wellington Guineas (12.42): Dominate, Representative. Nizam. Wainui Handicap (1.24): Enrich, Red Dash, Atreus.
Rimutaka Hack (2.7): Alethia, Vin d’Honneur, Artic Night.
Wellington Handicap (2.50): Battledrcss. Gladynev. Centrepoise. Wellesley Stakes (3.34): Brief, Screen. Great Legend.
Shorts (4.1 G The Champ, Scottish Dale, Poutata'u. October Hack (4.58): Jonathan Joe, Indian Sport, Straight Left.
