Complete agreement was reached in Conciliation Council on a Dominion award for bricklayers. Hours of work are forty a week. The minimum wage for journeymen is 2s IOJd an hour. Overtime rates are lime and a half for the first four hours and doubletime thereafter. Eight paid statutory holidays are included.

Country work provisions are brought into line with those of the carpenters and joiners, builders, contractors and general labourers’ awards.
