HOSTAGES SHOT IN YUGOSLAV VILLAGE
FOLLOWING ASSASINATION OF GENDARME. HEAVY FINE ALSO IMPOSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, October 21. The Chief of Public Security in Belgrade announced that ten Serbian hostages had been shot in the village of Donjaverszina, after the assassination of a gendarmerie n.c.o. The village was also fined £4,000.
