STATEMENT BY MR EDEN.

The Foreign Secretary, Mr Eden, in the House of Commons today said that Rudolph Hess was being treated as a prisoner of war. There had never been nor could be any wish to treat him as an envoy or give him any form of diplomatic or privileged status. All concerned might rest assured of this.
