Wellington Scratchings. Hinkler and Prince Rewa were scratched for all at the Wellington meeting at 9.20 a.m. yesterday, and Lady Pippin has been withdrawn from the Guineas. It is reported from Wanganui that the 2-year-old Tara King has gone a bit shin sere, and will not be racing at Wellington.
Not Making the Trip. The Te Awamutu trainer A. Cook has decided not to make the trip Io Trentham, which means the absence of Orakau from the Wellington Guineas and of Royal Glory from the Wellesley Stakes.
