PRESENTATION TANKARDS

FOR NEW ZEALAND BOMBER SQUADRON. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright/ (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) 'LONDON, October 20. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan) is shortly presenting to the New Zealand Wellington Bomber Squadron twelve tankards which are a present from its former commanding officer, Group Captain M. W. Buckley. This is a time-honoured practice, and a majority of officers have presented tankards to the squadron, many of the tankards unfortunately now bearing the names of those lost over Germany.

Air Commodore Isitt is shortly presenting the New Zealand TorpedoBomber Squadron with a picture of a kiwi sent to England by a Wellingtonian, Mr Harry Mackintosh, on behalf of the Civil Service Club. Air Commodore Isitt had it framed. The squadron’s crest includes a kiwi standing on a torpedo, for which reason the picture is most appropriate.
