CHAIN OF AIRPORTS
IN CANADA & ALASKA, IN THE MAIN COMPLETED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) EDMONTON, October 19. The Minister of Trade and Commerce, Mr Mackinnon, in a statement said that a string of airports from Edmonton to Yukon and also the new Alaska Highway have in the main been successfully completed. “These projects are intended not only for defence but also for attack, and they will have a profound influence on the future course of the war,” he said.
