NEW FIRE STATION
FRESH PLANS BEING PREPARED. FOR MASTERTON FIRE BOARD. The Masterton Fire Board has instructed its architect to prepare fresh plans for a new fire station in Masterton which will be more in keeping with the size of the town than the former Dian which provided for a station and buildings at an estimated cost of £3B;000.
The above statement was made by Councillor W. Kemp (chairman of the Masterton Fire Board and a council representative on the board) at last night’s meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, in reply to an inquiry by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan.
