WEST SCHOOL

HOME ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee of the Masterton West Home and School Association was held last evening, Mr F. Jestin presiding over a good attendance. Mr J. Hayward was requested to approach the Masterton West School Committee to ascertain when the official opening of the new school would lake place so that the Home and School Association could make arrangements to hold the proposed gala at the school on that occasion. It was decided to leave matters connected with advertising the gala in the hands of Mr E. Esler. It was resolved to hold a dance in the West School next Saturday night, commencing at 8 o'clock. Mr H. R. Keltie was elected to the vacancy on the committee caused by the resignation of Mr V. E. Burridge, who had joined the Air Force. A vote of thanks to the chairman brought the meeting to a close.
