RUDOLF HESS

DENOUNCED BY “PRAVDA”

AS BLOODTHIRSTY CRIMINAL.

DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE TRIAL

(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, October 19.

The immediate trial of Rudolf Hess is urged by the “Pravda.” In a leader on the punishment of German war criminals, the newspaper says: “It is necessary to determine Hess’s present capacity. Is he a criminal liable to be tried and punished, or is he a plenipotentiary of Hitler in England, enjoying extra-territorial rights? To imagine Hess safe from the judgment of a people’s tribunal for the duration of the war is to close one’s eyes to the crimes of one of Hitler’s most bloodthirsty criminals.”
