TROTTING HORSES
MATRACK DEAD &. OTHERS IN CRITICAL STATE.
AS RESULT OF SUDDEN ILLNESS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The trotter Hatrack is dead and the pacers Burt Scott and Bronze Eagle I arc in a critical condition, as a result J. of sudden illness. Bronze Eagle is -a Trotting Cup candidate. “ The three horses developed danger- ■ Ous- symptoms some time ago. Hatrack died a week later and it looked for a time as if Burt Scott and Bronze Eagle would also succumb. Burt Scott has since shown improvement and there are now signs that Bronze Eagle may recover, although both are still in a serious condition.
