MEETING AT CARTERTON.
CALF CLUBS TO BE ASSISTED
(“Times-Age” Special.)
Mr O. A. Cadwallader presided al the monthly meeting of the general committee of the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society on Saturday.
The treasurer reported a credit balance of £279 Ils 3d.
It was reported that the recent canvass for donations to the Society’s funds to assist in restoring the earthquake damage .carried out by Messrs J. Johnson and E. Clark, had been successful. Well-wishers in Wellington had responded very liberally to the Society’s circular.
One resignation was accepted. The secretary reported that arrangements had been made to repair the earthquake damage done to the office in Memorial Square. The chairman said that” although the Society was unable to hold its annual show, members might be able to help calf clubs. The secretary is to communicate with calf clubs and ascertain if the Society could assist them in any way.
