NEW COUPON BOOKS

NOW ON ISSUE AT POST OFFICE. FOR PERIOD OF TWO WEEKS. x New ration books are now being issued at the main counter of the Mas- — terton Post Office and at other post of® ficqs in the Wairarapa! district. The books will be on issue for a fortnight and every holder of an old book must secure a new one to be able to purchase tea and sugar after October 31. Persons applying for new books must fill in their name and address on the O counterfoil in the old ration books and in the case of children (those under 17 years of age) the date of the birthday has to be given. This information has to be printed in block letters.

The new books contain 52 coupons each for sugar, tea and clothing and in every case these words are printed on the coupon, making its identification much easier . There are two other sheets of coupons, lettered E and F, each of 52 coupons, on which appears the caption: “Do nothing with this page until told what to do.” At the end of the book is provision for emergency sugar coupons, allowing sugar coupons to be used when the holder is away from home. An additional sheet of 26 clothing coupons is issued to children.
