TRIAL OF HESS
APPARENTLY SUGGESTED BY RUSSIA. WITHOUT WAITING FOR END OF AVAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) LONDON, October 15. A sentence in the announcement by M. Molotov on the Axis war crimes is interpreted by news agencies as advocating the immediate trial and punishment of Hess. The sentence reads: ‘'The Soviet considers it essential to hand over without delay to courts or to a special international tribunal, and to punish with all the severity of the criminal code, any leader of Fascist Germany who in course of the war has fallen into the hands of the States fighting against Germany.”
