EXTENDED SITTINGS

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day.

Arrangements for extended sittings of the House of Representatives and a speed-up of the business were agreed to on the motion of the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, when the House resumed yesterday. The House is to sit this afternoon and tonight instead of adjourning for the week-end at 5.30 p.m., and sittings will be held on Saturday and Monday, with the intention of concluding the session by Thursday next.
