STRUCK BY BRITISH LIGHT NAVAL CRAFT ENEMY SUPPLY SHIP SUNK IN CHANNEL. ESCORTING VESSELS DESTROYED OR DAMAGED. LONDON, October 15. • Two more successful actions by light naval craft in the English Channel are reported. In the first, which took place close to the enemy shore, the British ships came under fire from the German coastal batteries. An enemy supply ship under strong escort was sunk and two of the escorting ships were set on fire and the rest scattered. Another force of light naval craft, came in contact with an enemy force near the island of Guernsey. _ They brought them to action, damaging _ a torpedo-boat and hit an R-boat, which blew up. Damage to the British craft was slight and only two men were wounded.
