MAMMOTH FIRE

STARTED BY THE R.A.F. IN TOBRUK LARGEST BLAZE EVER SEEN IN NORTH AFRICA. VISIBLE OVER 100 MILES AWAY. LONDON, October 12. The R.A.F. has again raided Tobruk. A pilot said one of the fires was the largest ever seen in North Africa. It was from a big fuel dump and could be seen over 100 miles away. The dock area was also set ablaze and several smaller fires were started on both sides of the harbour.
