WINTER SPORTS GEAR

PURCHASED WITH PATRIOTIC FUNDS. Provision of winter sports equipment for the Second N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East has again been made from patriotic funds. In a recent report, LieutenantColonel F. Waite, overseas commissioner for the National Patriotic Fund Board, refers to an expenditure -of £2582 for the purchase of Rugby, Association football and hockey material for the opening of the winter seasoh in September-October. Colonel Waite added that the equipment that had been ordered would not fully equip the Second N.Z.EfF., but would enable reasonable provision to be made.
