SALE AT FEILDING.

GOOD PRICES FOR CATTLE.

Again there was a heavy yarding o£ run cattle for the weekly sale today, following the high prices for cattle at the fair last Friday. Good prices ruled again today, with almost a total clearance. The demand is not yet satisfied. There was a medium yarding of fast sheep, for which prices have receded still further. Woolly fats sold at prices about 10s better than, shorn. There was a fairly good sale for fat cattle, prime ox bringing 38s per 100 lb, A brisk sale occurred for dairy cattle.

CARTERTON SALE PRICES GOOD THROUGHOUT. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday:—A good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward. Prices were good throughout and practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer.. The following are some of the realisations:— Sheep: Fat wethers, 375. 38s to 38s Id; fat hoggets. 255, 26s 9d, 29s to 29s 8d; fat ewes, 26s to 275; shorn wr. hoggets, to 20s; woolly wr. hoggets, 22s Id to 22s 9d; small wr. hoggets, to 17s. Cattle: Choice Jersey heifers on drop, £ll, £ll 10s to £l2 ss; springing Jersey heifers, to £9 10s; Jersey heifers just caved, £B, £lO 15s to £l3 ss, springing cows, £6 10s to £8: Jersey cross cows on drop G.S., to £11: fat cows, £5, £5 ss, £5 15s, £6 10s to £7 ss: fat heifers, £7 12s 6d to £9 17s; forward cows, £4,25, £4 6s, £4 7s 6d, £4 Ils to £4 17s: store cows, 31s, 34s 375, £2 2s 6d. £2 12s 6d io £2 16s; cows and calves, io £3 16s; yearling heifers, £4 to £4 7s 6d: bulls, £6 ss, £7 to £7 10s. Pigs: Baconcrs, to £4 2s 6d; heavy porkers, £3 12s, £3 12s 6d to £3 IGs, poikers £2 12s 6d. £2 15s to £2 17s 6d: store pigs £2 6s; slips, 355, 365, 36s 6d to 375; weaners, good, 29s 6d, 30s, 31s, 32s to 32s 6cl; Wdaners, medium, 25s 6d, 275, 28s to 28s 6d; choppers, £2 12s 6d to £2 17s 6d.
