INQUIRY OFFICE REPORT NEWS RECEIVED OF MAIL DELIVERIES. SUPPLY OF RAZOR BLADES. ' (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. . Information received by the Prisoners of War Inquiry Office from the International Red Cross at Geneva shows how mail from New Zealand has been received by prisoners. Details include the dates of despatch from the Dominion, number of letters and dates of arrival. , The approximate number’ of letters dealt with from February to the end of April is 33,200. . . , Some months ago the Inquiry Office made arrangements for razor blades to be sent from Englaiftl to prisoners and it has been informed by the High Commissioner's Office that in August seventeen large cases were shipped, each containing packages already addressed to British camp captains at all camps containing New Zealanders. Provision was made for 24 blades for each man, with a margin for additional men, particularly in Italian camps. The captains are to hold the balance of the issues for new prisoners as required. Notification is again made by the oliice that’ chocolate must be in unsealed tins. The number of prisoners officially notified is now 6,712 and there are four unofficial notifications.
