KILLED BV THE NAZIS . IN CHARLEROI DEMONSTRATION AGAINST GERMANS. BREAD FOR CHILDREN DEMANDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, October 9. The Moscow Information Bureau reports that Belgian women were killed in Charleroi when the police fired on anti-German demonstrators. The women carried Belgian flags and streamers inscribed: “Give us back our husbands from captivity.” “Give bread for our children.” German garrison troops tried to disperse the crowd but were mauled. Police detachments were then brought up and opened fire.
