PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) The ladies of the district met on Saturday afternoon last to entertain Miss Jean Algie, at a “gift afternoon” in honour of her approaching marriage to Mr S. Smith. Mrs R. Low, in wishing Miss Algie the best of luck and future happiness, presented her with a table of beautiful presents from the ladies of the district, also a dainty cup and saucer from the Women’s Institute, of which Miss Algie is a member. Little Nancy Hull presented Miss Algie with a beautiful posy. Miss Algie suitably acknowledged the gifts and good wishes Several competitions were played. Afterwards afternoon tea was served bv the ladies. The friends of Mr Godinagh will be sorry to hear he has had to enter a hospital to undergo treatment. . _ Mrs Futcher, of Wanganui, is visiting her niece, Mrs V. Payne.
