TWO AIRMEN KILLED
FOUR OTHERS BELIEVED DROWNED 'MASTERTOM WARRANT OFFICER INJURED. ACCIDENT AT SOUTH ISLAND STATION. (By Telegraph-Jfcess Association.) WELLIWTON, This Day. Two members o! the Royal New Zealand Air Force lost their lives, four others are reported missing, believed drowned, and a seventh was admitted to hospital with shock and bruises, as a result of an aircraft accident at a South Island air station yesterday afternoon. The personnel concerned were: Died of Injuries. Pilot Officer Dean Rainsford Horrocks. Mother, Mrs L. R. B. Horrocks, Takapuna. Sergeant Vincent Charles Hill. Father, Mr C. V. Hill, Christchurch. Missing, Believed Drowned. Sergeant Gordon Francis Stevens. Wife, Mrs G. Stevens, New Plymouth. Sergeant Victor Newell Chapple. Father, Mr C. G. Chapple, Hawera. Sergeant Jack Gilbert Bryson. Mother, Mrs P. Bryson, Christchurch.
Aircraftman (first class) John Gordon Davis. Mother, Mrs E. G. Davis, Wanganui.
Admitted to hospital: Warrant Officer James Alexander Colway. Mother, Mrs F. A. Colway, Masterton.
