TIN PRODUCTION

DECISIONS OF INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE.

(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) RUGBY, September 28.

The International Tin Committee, meeting in London, agreed that the quota be continued until further notied at 105 per cent of standard tonnages. The committee, however, decided that if any territory should be able to exceed this amount, the quota will be increased retrospectively and generally in order to cover the actual production of that territory. In pursuance of its general policy the committee also decided that there shall be no actual “carry forward” of any deficiencies in export from one year to another until further notice.

Sir John Campbell was elected chairman of the committee.
